    Penelope Shuttle was born in 1947, educated at private primary schools in Staines and is now sporadically employed as a shorthand typist. She began writing at fourteen and has contributed poetry and criticism to The Aylesford Review. Her poems also appeared in Poetry Review, Tribune and Adam. A short novel, An Excusable Vengeance, was published in 1967 in Calder & Boyars' 'New Writers, VI. A second, long novel, recently completed, has been accepted. photo by George J Keen of Staines.
