Edel Quinn was born in Co. Cork in 1907 and died at the age of thirty-six. She spent the last eight years of her short life as a special envoy of the Legion of Mary in Africa. She succeeded mightily but, like so many missionaries, had no mercy on her own body. The official process for her eventual beatification has now begun.
