"Taizé is a place where people pray!"
Year in year out, people of every continent gather there in prayer around the brothers of the ecumenical community whose home Taizé has been since 1940. This village in Burgundy is synonymous with praise. All over the world, the Council of Youth reflects the same priorities: "Struggle and Contemplation" - commitment and prayer. In 1975, the forms of prayer used in Taizé were published in English. "Praise in all our Days" is now in widespread use, and has been much acclaimed for the "simple, jubilant quality" of its langauge. "Praise" contains a selection of texts from "Praise in all our Days". It can be used to inspire personal prayer, or provide material for worship in groups, parishes, communities, retreats ... it offers liturgical texts and a reading for six ordinary days and all the main moments of the Christian year. Easily carried in a pocket, "Praise" contains almost inexhaustible resources of spiritual renewal.
