This little booklet, a revised and shortened version of one published in 1966, is offered to all those who in the past and now have shown their great confidence in the loving intercession of Saint Ann, the mother of the Blessed Virgin Mary and grandmother of Jesus. It might be of interest to know that the original Church dedicated to Saint Ann in Port-of-Spain was built around the year 1840. From that time this Church has been a place of pilgrimage for Catholics from all over Trinidad. The present Church was built in 1912 by Fr. O.J. McQuillan O.O. and extended in 1932 by Fr. L.M. Loughlin O.P., V.G. On every Tuesday of the year there is a special Mass at the above Church at 6.15am, in honour of Saint Ann, a Mass of Thanksgiving and Petition and at 5.00pm there are special Novena Prayers in honour of Saint Ann. The solemn Novena of Saint Ann, takes place every year at the above Church beginning on the 17th July and ending on the Feast, 26th July.
