Some readers will already be familiar with Sister Cyrilla's poetry through Wantage Poems, More Wantage Poems, and in periodicals. Others will know of her scholarly contributions to successive Patristic Congresses in Oxford. Here she has provvided short passages for Holy Days throughout the year. Her gifts of intellect and imagination enable her to combine originality of approach with real theological and spiritual insight. This little book, of a size convenient for pocket or handbag, contain valuable material for meditation whether at home or while travelling, but as the passages were originally concieved as brief addresses such as could be read at a weekday Eucharist, clergy could find here just what they need for such occasion in parish churches, chapels, or house-churches.
