Pope Benedict XVI has said: `We must reflect seriously on how we might carry out a true evangelisation today. People don’t know God, they don’t know Christ. A new paganism is present, and it is not enough just to maintain the community of believers.` The purpose of this book is to spell out in more details, and with plenty of practical advice and approaches, how exactly this new evangelisation might be carried out. Fr Collins covers a wide range of approaches to the project and suggests that every diocese should adapt an evangelisation policy and a corresponding agency to implement it, and that every parish should have its own evangelisation committee.
